Güney was born in 2000. She started her musical education in 2005 in Polyphonic Choruses Association of Turkey as a chorist. She was a chorist there for seven years and she was awarded with a medal. She started to take piano lessons from Aylin İpekçioğlu in 2009. She continued her piano lessons with different piano teachers until 2014 and she graduated from the piano class in Bilkent University.

She got accepted into Bilkent University Music Preparatory School in 2011 as a cello student. She started her cello education with Adil Babacan. She became a chorist of Bilkent University Youth Choir. Then she got accepted into Bilkent University Music And Performing Arts High School in 2014 as a cellist. She performed as a soloist in several concerts. She performed in several chamber music groups. She was a member of the Bilkent University Youth Symphony Orchestra as principal cellist. She also attended in an orchestra under the name of World And European Brass Association in which she was also the principal cellist. She took part in Benyamin Sonmez 2. International Cello Competition.

 She took a Middle Ages Dances course and she participated in the Middle Ages Music Orchestra. She also took creative drama, body and movement and rhythm lessons for one year in Ankara Art Theater. She also acted in different plays. She was the youngest member of the Ankara Art Theater as a musician and she played in professional plays.  

She attended masterclasses from teachers such as Jean-Guihen Queyras, Şölen Dikener, Julian Steckel, Ozan Tunca, Çağ Erçağ, István Várdai, Dilbağ Tokay, Giorgi Kharadze, Gilles Apap, Simon Thierree, Herre Jan Stagenga, Joachim Eijlander and more. 

After she graduated as the third in her class from her high school, she got accepted to Codarts, Amsterdam Conservatory, Marshall University and Bilkent University as a cellist. She started her education in Codarts in 2018 as a first year cello student in the classical department. She started her studies with Jeroen Den Herder and still continues her lessons with him. During her studies at Codarts, she performed in many school projects. She recently graduated from Codarts with her Bachelors Degree in Classical Music, Cello. She is currently a student of Jeroen Den Herder in the Cello Academie Zutphen of CelloWercken.
